I’ve tested a lot of products, enough for several lifetimes. But these are the things that have legitimately improved my quality of life
A Good Bluetooth Speaker

I’m old enough to remember when portable radios were either huge and battery-hungry or tiny and sounded like a tin can. Portable Bluetooth speakers are better than ever, and I like the JBL Flip series. This little thing comes with me everywhere. It’s waterproof, the battery lasts forever, and it sounds great.
I’ll usually throw on a podcast when I’m out doing yard work, or play music when I’m in the garage, but this little thing comes with me almost everywhere.
I know some people like the serenity of silence, but to me, nothing isn’t improved with the right soundtrack.
Great Boots

Look, you knew this was coming- boots. Good quality boots change your whole day.
Not only are you more comfortable, but usually you’re more capable as well. Great boots don’t have to cost a fortune but try to get the best you can afford. The old adage: “Don’t skimp on your mattress or your boots, because if you’re not in one you’re in the other” absolutely rings true.
I probably have 100 videos on my channel about choosing great boots, so if you want to see that I’ve put a playlist here for you.
These are my Wesco Mister Lous and are a great example of boots that will last a long time.
An Electric Bike

This is gonna seem dumb, but an electric bike changed my life.
I love my regular bicycle and use it all the time, but an electric bike is a game changer.
If I need to get someplace in a hurry, I can. If I want to tow the kids up a hill, no problem! Commute to work without being a sweaty mess, easy!
Until I got an electric bike I never thought living life without a car would be possible, but now I can see how it’s doable. I’m still not getting rid of my truck though.
This is the Priority Current and it’s basically perfect- The charge lasts a long time, it will do 28mph without a problem, and I’ve never had a problem with it in three years. Honestly, if it got stolen today, I’d get another one just like it. Maybe black this time…
A Long Universal Cable

I have some old devices, some new, and some in between. That means I need like, four different cables to connect everything. But then I found the universal cable. It’s basically just a single cable with a bunch of different ends, so if I need to plug in my phone with a lightning cable I can. Or the never USB-C devices, or older micro-USB.
Bonus points for a long cable too, because 3 feet just doesn’t seem to be enough. I’ve seen several companies offer these, so be sure to shop around but I like this one from Nomad with it’s woven Kevlar shield.
A Great Mattress and Pillow

One of the best purchases I’ve ever made was a good mattress AND a good pillow. Now this will all depend on your preferences, and I’m not here to sell you on any brand, but spend the money on the good stuff.
Seriously, sleep affects every part of your health and day-to-day life. Go to mattress stores, try out your friends’ mattresses, and ask around. Find the right fit and don’t look back.
Conclusion
Those are my five things which improved my life, but I’ve always found tremendous value in the comment section of videos like these. Please let me know which items improved your life and if I missed anything.
Until next time, be well my friends.
