Red Wing goes lightweight, Viberg does mushrooms, and short sleeve season is in full effect with Iron Heart
Heat Straps Workhorse V7 Lightweight
The lightest Workhorse yet features an 8oz. shadow camo waxed canvas shell from Halley Stevensons and an 8oz 100% worsted wool lining in blaze orange. Available with and without a corduroy collar. Made in the USA.
Red Wing Truguard Lite
Red Wing continues to push the limits of lightweight with their new TruGuard Lite boots. Made from lightweight materials (mostly synthetic) and featuring a welted construction, these Red Wings are still slightly too expensive in my opinion at $269. Options in the $250-$300 range are many, and with the Red Wing Apex checking off many of the same boxes, I’m not sure where the TruGuard Lite is supposed to fall in their lineup.
Wythe New York Rustic Plainweave Hunting Jacket
Alright, the thing that got my attention with this jacket is those pockets. Such a unique design certainly sets this jacket apart from the rest. I also love that its made from an open-weave fabric consisting of 90% cotton and 10% linen, making it perfect for the warmer weather. It also looks like it could dress up an otherwise boring outfit with its unique details like the ornate buttons.
Viberg Mushroom Chamois
This exclusive Viberg 310 release features Horween’s Mushroom Chamois Roughout. Mushroom is a deeply rich green, accentuated by subtle tones of brown and charcoal creating a truly distinctive and versatile shade. But at just shy of $900, you might want to be sure it’s exactly what you want.
Iron Heart 5oz Selvedge Short Sleeved Work Shirt
Iron Heart is back at it with a beautiful seasonal release short sleeved shirt. Available in either red or green, they’re made from a lightweight 5oz selvedge cloth featuring a 1970s inspired check pattern. Still, it’s Iron Heart, so brace your wallet!
Sugar Cane
I apologize for the terrible photo, but that’s all I could find for this rayon short sleeved shirt from Sugar Cane. If you like the Iron Heart but don’t want to spend that much, this is a wonderful option from another well-respected Japanese brand for much less. Available in either red or blue.
Freenote Cloth Midway CPO
I stopped dead in my feed when I saw this piece from Freenote Cloth. The design is fascinating, with those oversized chest pockets based off the WWII era M42 HBT uniform, and a gorgeous sashiko fabric. I also love the high-waisted cut, which is quite retro.
